Zaton is a village in the north-western part of the Sibenik bay, 10 km of Sibenik. The bay is surrounded by the hills Rastovac, Krizeva glava and Glavica. Chief occupations of its population are farming, fishing and tourism. The village is nicely formed out of the old stone and new houses. A little far away there are fertile plantations with the wild cherry trees and grapes. Zaton was mentioned in the documents from the 15th century. The church of St. George and Roch, with the nice marble altar, was built in the 16th century.
