Milna is the biggest and the southernmost small town on the west coast of Brac, 20 km south west of Supetar, a ferry port to boats that connects frequently Split with Brac. Economy is based on farming, shipbuilding, fishing, processing of fish and tourism. This place is very famous thanks to its famous bay, where the emperor's ships ancored here during the costruction of the Diocletian palace. Since the bay of Milna is the safest and best harbor on the island, protected from all winds except from pleasant summer mistrels, a marina with 200 berths has been built in the bay.

The settlement is constructed mostly in a typical mediterranean style. Stone built houses, neat little alleys, peace and quiet are the initial evidence of the cultural splendour of former times. It developed in the 16th century when an aristocratic family decided to build a fortress and church there, which is today's Gospa od Blagovijesti parish church with the the most beautiful altar-piece on the island. During the 17th century, Milna was the island's administrative center, therefore some of the most beautiful edifices and paintings on the island of Brac can be found in Milna. Some other curiosities valuable mentioning are richly decorated Rococo facade of the parish church and the ruins of a gothic church in the bay of Osibovo.

Apart from its magnificent architecture and Mediterranean ambiance, Milna offers beautiful coves with sand and gravel beaches stretching along the coast like Pasika, Lucice, Osibova and Maslinova. There is a marvellous swimming beach in the cove Vlaska and an interesting small islet in front of Milna, named Mrdulja. The stories about beauties of the ports Bobovisce and the villages Lozisce, Bobovisce and Podhumne, together with the surrounding bays had passed our borders, long time ago.
