Hvar boasts of being the sunniest Dalmatian island. The scents of rosemary and lavender, a wooded shore and an exceptional cultural richness reveal why Hvar is a favourite tourist destination among the tourists from all over the world. Beaches are rocky, together with small bays with sandy beaches. The island of Hvar is the island of sunshine, lavender and wine, proud of its tradition of 130 years of organized tourism.

Located in the center of the Mediterranean, off of its northern more indented and more densely populated coast, the island of Hvar is also situated in the center of practically all of the routes that cross the eastern Adriatic. An outstanding geographical point of central Dalmatia, on the route from Zadar and Sibenik to Korcula and Dubrovnik, Hvar is located in the vicinity of, and within the region gravitating towards, the city of Split. However, Hvar is separated from the Split Channel by the island of Brac.

Hvar is listed in ten most beautiful islands in the world. Its natural landscapes are probably the most magnificent and impressive image of the island. The azure sea generously revealing the treasuers of the Neptune's underwater gardens, opiate fragrances of rosemary, heather and garden-sage or the song of cicadae at noon, these are the impressions that remain longest in our experience of Hvar.

The highlight of this lovely island is the ravishing little harbour town of Hvar, situated on the south-western coast of it. It lies in the cove protected by the Pakleni Islands in the south and a low crest in the north. The town of Hvar is the largest settlement on the island of Hvar. It is the town of a unique cultural and historical heritage but also an important tourist resort with a centuries-old tradition in tourism. There are beautifully preserved public buildings, cafes and shops around a square at the head of which is a church, which looks back down the square to the sea.

The Pakleni Otoci, a group of islets off the town of Hvar, make place of exceptional value. In the same way, the hidden bays of the northern and southern coast of the island with the villages Milna, Dubovica, Piscena, Vira, Pribinja and many more, inhabited and uninhabited, make the highlights of its genuine atmosphere and smells.

Jelsa is a small town and port in a bay on the northern coast of the island of Hvar, the sunniest island of the Adriatic Sea, known for its dense vegetation and fragrant fields of lavender. On both sides of the harbor there are wooded coves ideal for relaxation and swimming.

Vrboska is a tourist destination and harbor in the central part of the northern coast of the island of Hvar. Located in a picturesque, deep cove surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and a forest of pine Vrboska has everything you need for a quiet family holiday. Jelsa and Vrboska are so pretty little harbours with colurful seafront cafes.

Scedro is an uninhabited islet of wild beauty situated 2,700 m off the coast, south of Zavala, a village on the island of Hvar. It has two deep and well sheltered harbours so the islet offers pleasant walks, good swimming and beautiful views, especially on its western side (lovely view of Hvar's high mountain ridge especially at sunset). It was overgrown with woods for centuries. The pine woods to the east are very attractive.
